Wearing Tiaras Correctly

Wearing tiaras have quickly become the in fashion thing to do on your wedding day and while many people may feel there is just one way to wear a tiara, this is actually not true at all you can wear a tiara dependant on what your hair style is and what sort of look you are going for.  Below we will explore a few of the ways to wear a tiara and whether or not they will work for you.  When choosing your own tiara please make sure you take into consideration how you plan on wearing your hair.

Wedding tiaras can be worn just on the parting of your fringe and the rest of the hair. This is a fantastic position if you aim to backcomb the front of your hair and your tiara is short enough to frame it. For example a bride that I worked with had a very dainty tiara created from butterflies, it was created from wires so you could see her hair through the natural spaces in the tiara, the top part of her hair was back combed to give it a little height and had she wore the tiara anyway else it would have got lost in her lovely hair.

If you are planning on wearing your tiara on the top of your head towards the back make sure you have not added any height to the front of your hair otherwise your tiara will not be seen. Most people will class this as the “traditional” place to wear tiaras. If your tiara band is long, ensure that it is flexible enough to be molded around you head with grips so the ends of the band does not stick out.

As you can see these are just a couple of ways you could wear tiaras that are based completely on how you plan on wearing your hair.  Take the time to consider the style you are going with before you select your tiara.  If you already have your hairstyle picked out then you should obtain a picture or two and take them with you to the jeweler, this way you can find the perfect item that will compliment and accentuate your dress on your big day.  Whether you have it made out of real diamonds or go the costume jewelry route, your tiara will truly be a centerpiece of your outfit and help you stand out even more on your big day.
